Being Kind is a State of Mind
To help and assist – and be mindful of this, when you’re kind you feel good, there’s a new brotherhood.
Where you don’t know them and they don’t know you, but it’s what you can say and what you can do Just a simple ‘hello’ as you come and you go can make someone feel special for the rest of the day.
So be kind and considerate don’t just walk away.
Regular Checks
If your neighbours are elderly, check regularly to make sure they are OK
Help with Jobs
Many vulnerable people may need a few odd jobs doing for example DIY
Stop to Chat
Spend a few minutes to have a chat now and again
Help with Shopping
Offer to do some shopping, or give them a lift to the shops / supermarket
Emergency Contact
Give them your contact number for emergencies
Computer Help
Offer help with computer or internet queries
Scams
Tell them to be wary of any online and offline scams
Help with Pets
Offer to feed, or look after pets, for example walking the dog if they can’t
Cold Callers
Keep an eye out for cold callers or any suspicious people hanging around
Supporting Someone in a Crisis?
